Hollow Knight is the most unique game I’ve ever played. Developed and published by the Australian Team Cherry video game company, Hollow Knight met with its players in 2017.

The soundtrack, composed by Australian composer Christopher Larkin, creates a great atmosphere, with Hornet at the top of the best game theme music I’ve ever heard. The music, in which strings and piano come to the fore, recreates the excitement and emotion felt during the game, whether at home, on the street or wherever one listens. Even though Ori, whose music I was most impressed with, is still number one, managed to surpass Genshin Impact’s music.

“BOSS”

Some Bosses are so cute that I can’t say that fighting and defeating them does not cause a bit of sadness. On the other hand, Hornet, with whom I have the greatest affinity among the Bosses I have fought and defeated so far, is not only a very strong opponent, but also a character who helps our knight to defeat evil at the end of the game, reappears in the middle of the game and tests his strength and encourages him.

The Dung Defender, which I had the hardest time beating while playing, is actually a giant scarab. Although I’m quite the entomology buff, it’s a bit annoying that the character is difficult and requires combat in a rather excrement-filled environment.

There are also friendly knights who come to help from time to time in the game, which tries to reach the grand end by passing through molds, mushroom forests, flamethrowers, parasite senders, and singing ghosts. Quirrel and Cloth are two of the ghost’s friends and come and support them in different battles. If Cloth hadn’t come to his aid and sacrificed himself while fighting the extremely powerful Traitor Lord, perhaps it would have been impossible to defeat him.

Praised for finding Hunter as he nears the game’s final Boss, the ghost knight bestows an important skill along with a tooth of his own. When we meet Radiance in the finale, it is not easy to deal with this terrifying character who fascinates with her radiance. While Radiance, as big and bright as the sun, pushes us level by level, the darkness within us also emerges with the darkness that follows us. Because hollow Knight is a surprise game with multiple final scenarios.
